18 years after they first met, 9 years after that fateful reunion of sorts, we see Jesse and Celine still going at it, playfully engaging one another in a seemingly endless verbal tussle. It looked like nothing has changed.
On that train to Vienna, Jesse and Celine's attraction with each other was magnified by the beautiful, sensible, mind-blowing conversations that they had going between them. It was an intense meeting of the minds scenario. The intensity flourished and got too strong to restrain when they saw each other again in Paris many moons following their dreamlike first encounter. After consummating the inevitable reunion, they lived happily ever after. Not.
With real life intruding and poking holes in the romantic bubble that they have built, purposefully or inadvertently, around each other, everything's in danger of blowing-up into pieces. The "talk" still ignites the fire between them, seasoning their otherwise banal existence, but familiarity with each other's strengths and weaknesses puts them in the unlikely position of delivering the greatest blow that just might put that fire out.
This is where the "fun" part begins - to see how the couple would navigate that uncomfortable period in their lives, their struggle to maintain true to their individual selves and, at the same time, to the union that they have forged.
