after 4 months, i finally got around to start reading veronika decides to die. after 64 pages into the story, i've come across some pretty, interesting thoughts...
"what does it mean to be crazy? anyone who lives in his/her own world is crazy. like schizophrenics, psychopaths, maniacs. people who are different from others."
"insanity is the inability to commmunicate your ideas. it's as if you were in a foreign country, able to see and understand everything that's going on around you but incapable of explaining what you need to know of or being helped because you don't understand the language they speak there"
"what makes people hate themselves? cowardice, perhaps. or the eternal fear of being wrong, of not doing what others expect."
